Fundraising ideas come in all shapes and sizes and our dedicated Fundraising Team are here to help you every step of the way. Every penny you raise will help us to make a difference to the lives of primary bone cancer patients and their families.

Need some inspiration? Here are some ideas...

  • Bake sales, coffee mornings and afternoon teas - raising awareness at your local club, place of work, a local fete, is a great way to let people know about our important work and is a wonderful opportunity to sell (and east) all those delicious cakes you have been baking.
  • Be a Lifeshaver! Get sponsored to shave your head (or your beard) and don't forget to take before and after pictures.
  • Cinema screening - in a cinema, hall, your living room or outside, choose your favourite movie, get some popcorn and you are all set for a brilliant fundraiser!
  • Are you a member of a group or club? Your group could help us by nominating the Bone Cancer Research Trust as Charity of The Year.
  • Arrange a collection in a local supermarket or nominate us for one of their charity 'token' schemes. Most supermarkets will be happy to agree to a collection if you plan it well in advance.
  • Cycle to work day - Here's a wheelie great fundraising idea: ask friends, family and colleagues to ride to work and donate their bus/train fares or petrol allowance. Thumbs up for pedal power!
  • Fancy dress! At school or at work, ask everyone to make a small donation to dress up or wear their own clothes for the day.
  • Games Night in - Board games are cool and a fun way to bring friends and family together!
  • Give it up! Get sponsored for giving up something you love for a day, week, month or year!
  • If music is your thing, get your band, choir, DJ or orchestra to organise a concert, a dance or a disco!
  • Open Garden - if you have a show stopping garden, why not open it up to visitors, include a plant sale and cake sale for extra funds!
  • Go Orange for the Bone Cancer Research Trust! Dye your hair orange, wear an orange outfit or bake some orange treats. Let your imagination run wild!
  • Organise a Quiz night, bingo night or unleash your inner diva on a karaoke night.
  • Raffles, tombola's and auctions are all tried and tested fundraisers that are always a big hit at any community event.
  • Get Sporty - whatever you enjoy, football, netball, hockey, golf, darts - organise a charity match.
  • Spring Clean - 'One man's rubbish is another man's treasure'. Spring is the perfect time to declutter your wardrobe and upcycle all things unworn, so why wait? Hold that car boot sale or swish you've been talking about for ages.
  • Think about the seasons or plan your event around a theme - Valentine's, Pancake Day. Easter, Halloween, Hogmanay, Christmas or any day that is special to you.
