This year we have been working with Events Management students from Leeds Beckett University.
We have been working with two groups of students who were assigned us as their Charity Client for the Professional Event Practise module. With guidance and support from our Community Fundraising team, the students were given a brief to raise funds and awareness within the local area.
Zodiac Events and Electi Events had regular meetings with us and organised numerous fundraising activities such as bake sales and supermarket collection dates in preparation for their final event.
Zodiac Events hosted a music event called Solar Sound marketed at students. The indie band night celebrated young artists as well as raising awareness of primary bone cancer amongst the student community.
Electi Events arranged an Animal Safari Evening for a local Girl Guiding Group. The girls had to complete a series of activities in order to achieve their badge.
The partnership has been incredibly successful with the two groups collectively raising £1,364.75, spreading awareness and developing their transferable and event management skills.
