It has been a year since we launched our 2017 - 2022 strategy, and what a year it has been...
12 months have now passed since we launched The Biggest Ever Commitment To Primary Bone Cancer - Our Strategy 2017 - 2022 and thanks to the support of our community we are making real impact and progress. From the introduction and launch of our first ever Infrastructure Grants to attracting more research applications than ever before in our history - it has been a truly exciting and progressive time.
Since last July we have funded 13 brand new research projects and by the end of 2018 we will have committed a further £1,215,437 to our Grant Programme. This includes the awarding of an additional project above and beyond our Grant Programme - a PhD Studentship totalling £100,000 - made possible by your amazing response to our urgent appeal! Overall this represents 43% of our minimum commitment to research before 2022 and 19 of our planned 50 research grants. Aside from research we are also making great progress with our Information, Awareness and Support work. We are supporting more patients and families than ever before and equipping them with the vital information they need and we're raising national and international awareness of primary bone cancer to aid earlier diagnosis. Thank you to all our supporters for your continued belief in our life saving work - we truly could not do what we do without you!
Today we are launching our new-look Annual Report & Accounts which reports on our journey up until the end of 2017. Here are just a few of the milestones you helped us achieve in 2017:
