In January 2018, we launched a year long fundraising campaign asking our supporters to ‘Be One In A Million’ and help us reach £1million in a year for the first ever time. And... You did it! Thank you!

The 31st December marked the end of our annual campaign and what a success it was! Hundreds of you baked, ran, walked, cycled, shaved, took to the sky, got messy in mud... you name it, you did it and over £1million was raised through your efforts!

Mat Cottle-Shaw, Head of Fundraising &Communications, said:

When the Bone Cancer Research Trust was registered in 2006, we raised £176,144 in our first year, which led to the funding of our first ever research project. Thirteen years on, the families we support are still at the heart of all we do. They are the inspirational drive of our charity and it is because of them and all our supporters that 2018 was our most successful year yet.

Passing the £1,000,000 milestone signifies a real step change in our work, allowing us to expand our charitable activities even further and ensuring we can be there for all those effected by primary bone cancer. We are thankful every day to have such an incredibly passionate and supportive community.

The increased support of our community has had a direct effect on our charitable activities, allowing us to commit over £1.2million in 2018 to new and existing charitable activities. This is an incredible achievement, but there is still so much to do... Our fight continues #UntilTheresACure
