Before retirement Andy Hall was a researcher himself, so he understands that every penny counts in the hope of finding kinder treatments for primary bone cancers and bone tumours.
He has been a big fan of the Bone Cancer Research Trust for a long time, so this year he decided to ask his friends and family to sponsor him as he dedicates 100 miles as part of his personal challenge of walking from Land’s End to John O’Groats to raise funds for our vital work.
Andy shared an update with us...
I have been bowled over by the support I’ve received so far- I think this shows just how much people really value the work that the Bone Cancer Research Trust do to find better ways of preventing, diagnosing and treating primary bone cancer.

Andy really does go above and beyond to support our vital work! Not only do we thank him for taking on this incredible challenge but also for being such a valuable member of our Independent Scientific Advisory Panel (ISAP). ISAP ensures research applications for funding are scientifically sound, feasible to deliver and fulfil the aims of the charity to ultimately improve the outcomes for patients, so Andy sees first hand some of the most innovative and ground-breaking research projects, which is only made possible by our wonderful fundraisers like himself. Thank you so much Andy, and good luck with your challenge.
