Mark Armstrong is running from Palace to Castle in memory of his mum who sadly passed away from a rare form of primary bone cancer called chondrosarcoma, two years ago.
After taking part in the 100 miles in February Challenge for the Bone Cancer Research Trust earlier this year, Mark decided he wanted to push himself even further by taking on his own challenge of running from London to Edinburgh this August.
Starting at Buckingham Palace and finishing at Edinburgh Castle, Mark will be completing a whopping 400 miles over 10-12 days!
Mark shared his tips for his training below:
I always remember my Mum, and think about her every single time I’m running and feel like giving up. Strength comes from within. It’s a mind, body and soul battle. Many people have to fight bone cancer and need us to fight side by side with them.
Kate Connor, Community Fundraising Manager at the Bone Cancer Research Trust, said:
Mark’s incredible efforts are so inspiring! His determination is infectious and we here at #TeamBones HQ wish him all the best in his challenge! We know you will conquer it!
