The Bone Cancer Research Trust has received over 100 requests for Financial Assistance Grants since their launch in January 2021.

Our Financial Assistance Grants were launched to help reduce the increased financial pressures experienced during bone cancer treatment. Joanne Wright, Support Executive at the Bone Cancer Research Trust, Said:

During treatment, patients and their families have enough uncertainty and stress, without mounting financial worries. We hope our Financial Assistance Grants have helped to alleviate some of these worries.

To ensure as many patients and their families as possible know that our Grants are available to them, we work extremely closely with the bone cancer surgical and treatment centres. Lucy Bishton, Macmillan Navigator at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital told us:

The patients really are grateful for the grants from the Bone Cancer Research Trust when I am talking with them so thank you all very much.
