Susan McKehon is taking on the huge challenge of walking a 'Virtual' St. James Way Pilgrimage from Rue Saint Jacques in Paris to Catedral Basilica de Santiago de Compostela in Spain.

That’s a whopping 914 miles! Each lap Susan walks is 0.6 miles, and she has already walked an incredible 864 miles!

Susan told us:

I am 'Going Round in Circles' to raise money in memory of Daniel Bridle, a brave young man diagnosed with osteosarcoma, taken from his family far too soon. All money raised from my virtual pilgrimage will go to The Daniel Bridle Memorial Fund, a Special Fund at Bone Cancer Research Trust. It is his mother's wish to raise a total of £100,000 during her lifetime with the help of friends and family. Currently, the total raised is memory of Dan is just over £64,000.

Mat Cottle-Shaw, Head of Fundraising and Communications at the Bone Cancer Research Trust, said:

Every step Susan is taking as she is ‘Going Round in Circles’ is one step closer to helping us find a cure and we really can’t thank her enough for all her support. This is an enormous challenge, and we wish Susan the very best of luck – We know you’ve got this Susan!

Daniel Bridle sadly passed away on 17th June 2014 at the age of 18. You can read more about his story and the Daniel Bridle Memorial Fund here.

Caroline, Daniel’s mum shared:

I support the Bone Cancer Research Trust because my son could have lived without a posh hospital unit, an amazing holiday and X-boxes - the only thing we wanted was a cure.
