Staff at a gym in Worcestershire have recently completed a marathon rowing event in support of our vital work.

The team at Gusto FitHub in Bromsgrove took part in the challenge in support of Gareth Welch, clocking up an impressive 42,195m on the machines collectively and raising a fantastic £918.

Adam Bailey, owner of Gusto FitHub, said:

Our gym is built on relationships and a culture with the motto Live A Fitter Life. We wanted to support one of our longest standing members, the friendly giant, Gaz. He is a great rower and loves the rowing machine, so we thought what better way to show our support than a marathon row as a gym and a community.

Siobhan Cullen, Regional Relationship Manager at the Bone Cancer Research Trust, said:

Thank you so much to Adam and his fellow team members at Gusto FitHub for fundraising in support of their much-loved Gaz. The funds raised will go such a long way to ensuring that our vital work can continue.

After experiencing pain in his hip, Gareth tried to ease this with exercise by attending Gusto FitHub.

His pain did not subside, and eventually he was diagnosed with cancer. Since then, Gareth has undergone injections, steroids, and other intrusive procedures as part of his treatment.

There's still time to support this incredible challenge. To donate, please visit the JustGiving page:
